This major is designed to develop a student's understanding of management as both an art and a science along with those administrative skills necessary for positions of leadership and responsibility. All management majors will complete the core course required of all Business Administration majors. These courses include accounting, economics, statistics, management, marketing, finance, operations management, information systems, management science, legal environment of business, and business policy and strategy.

Any organizational function requires planning, organizing, leadership and control. Whenever a group of people are involved in goal attainment, management is needed. Banks need managers, large service and product companies need managers, governments and institutional groups need managers and small business needs managers. Management is a particularly good choice for people who have varied or broad interests and see themselves accomplishing things through participation with others.
