Students in this program study a broad base of content and pedagogical knowledge to become skilled teachers in elementary classrooms. They engage in clinical field experiences in area schools at each stage of their education courses, culminating in a student teaching experience. This process allows them to apply for a Minnesota teaching license in grades K-6. A collaborative program between Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU) and Normandale Community College offers K-6 preparation.
