Degree Completion Through a partnership with Athabasca University, you are able to stay at Medicine Hat College and complete a bachelor's degree from Athabasca University (Bachelor of Commerce , Bachelor of General Studies, or Bachelor of Management ). Completion of MHC’s Business Administration diploma provides a solid foundation and qualifies you to apply to the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management degrees offered on campus by AU. If you are interested in pursuing a career in accounting, a substantial amount of Athabasca University’s Bachelor of General Studies course credit can be used toward a professional accounting designation. Required Certified General Accountant (CGA) courses are available through Athabasca University at Medicine Hat College, or via distance learning. University Transfer Starting your degree at MHC is also an option, as Medicine Hat College has transfer agreements in place with several institutions. You can take up to two years of a bachelor's degree at Medicine Hat College and then transfer to one of several universities including: University of Alberta, School of Business; University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business; University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Management; Montana State University; Mount Royal University; University of Regina, Faculty of Business Administration; or University of Saskatchewan, Edwards School of Business. Admission to these programs is competitive, and we recommend that you meet with an academic advisor from Medicine Hat College and from the university you plan to attend regarding admission requirements and course selections.
