Course Description

Pursuing an education in business ensures you have the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in a variety of areas. Careers in accounting, advertising, sales, financial services, personnel management, small business management and more start with a solid foundation in business training. To help you meet your educational and career goals, Medicine Hat College has partnered with Mount Royal University to offer a business degree at our Medicine Hat campus. During your first and second year, you will complete the Business Administration diploma through Medicine Hat College. Upon successful completion, you can then apply to the degree program at MHC, and your diploma could count as two years of credit towards the four year MRU General Management degree. If you are interested in applying to this program, you must meet with an academic advisor. Acceptance into this program is competitive and based upon Grade Point Average. If accepted, you will join the MRU program as a third year student, and upon successful completion of years three and four, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal University, General Mangement Major. Diploma graduates must have completed the program with a major in Accounting, Management, Marketing or Financial Services to be considered for the degree program. If you are interested in the Business Administration degree, you must schedule an appointment with Academic Advising to ensure your course selections and academic plan meet admission and graduation requirements.

Completing the Bachelor of Business Administration will enhance and broaden the education you completed during your diploma studies, and allow you more opportunity for advancement in your career.
