Course Description

Lincoln University's Bachelor of Environment and Society prepares students to tackle the big issues around how we live on this planet. The world is changing. Resources are dwindling and the population is growing. This creates increasing pressure on food security, fresh water, ecosystems and indigenous culture. How do we increase productivity in the land-based industries while reducing negative impacts on the environment? Our graduates will gain a broad skill-set to tackle today’s sustainability and land-use issues. The flexibility of the B.E.S. means you can tailor your focus towards these important issues. Build on the core courses and add in the electives of your choice. Talk to and obtain the approval of our expert academic advisor Dr Lloyd Carpenter to ensure your course choice forms a coherent programme of study. The flexibility of the Bachelor of Environment and Society means you can design your own degree, building on the core compulsory courses and adding in electives of your choice.
