The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design is a four-year degree consisting of one year in the College of Design’s Core Design Program, followed by three years in the professional BFA degree program. The undergraduate graphic design program annually admits 76 students into the professional program after completion of the Core. The BFA degree in Graphic Design from Iowa State provides the foundation for a career in the visual communication profession. The undergraduate program prepares students for immediate entry into design practice as well as continued personal and creative growth.
