Year one: There are 3 units 1. Biology and Disease 2. The Variety of Living Organisms 3. Investigative and Practical Skills Year two: There are 3 units 1. Populations and Environment 2. Control in Cells and in Organisms 3. Investigative and Practical Skills. Year one: 1. Students will sit a 1 1/2 hour examination 2. Students will sit a 1 3/4 hour examination 3. Practical based coursework assessed by the Examination board Year two: 1. Students will sit a 1 1/2 hour examination 2. Students will sit a 2 1/4 hour examination Examination Board assessed coursework.

Students may progress to further and higher education in biology, medicine, sports and other related sciences.
