Nursing is the profession or practice of providing care for the sick and infirmed. By its very definition, this career choice defines the core of Christianity. A typical nursing program that results in an A.S. in nursing includes academic and nursing instruction as well as clinical experience. After this is complete, the student must take the NCLEX-RN exam to complete the Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure. Clearwater Christian College takes the nursing program to the next level combining two and a half years of core prerequisite courses, and ministry courses taught on campus from a distinctive Biblical worldview and one year at Christian International College (CIC). This combination allows the nursing student to graduate with two degrees-an A.S. in Nursing and a B.S. in Global Nursing Ministries. CCC has partnered with CIC to provide an excellent baccalaureate degree program in which the student receives hands-on training in a technologically advanced Skills lab from highly qualified, Christian nursing faculty. This partnership ensures that the graduate will possess the spiritual foundation upon which a lifetime of principled nursing service can be built.
