The humanities course of study incorporates the central expressions of human values including language, literature, philosophy, and artistic culture. Knowledge of humanities enables students to understand the present and the future from a historical perspective. Studying humanities from a Christian worldview allows students to put what they learn into a Biblical perspective on life, career, and ministry. Students also develop skills in critical and analytical thinking, reading and interpretation, and creative writing. These insights and skills provide a foundation for careers in many different professions and for productive and rewarding lives as educated citizens.
