Recent years have seen success in biomedical research, particularly in the areas of molecular biology and human genetics! Research in this field will result in major advances in our understanding of human health and the application of this knowledge to medicine. This program focuses on the molecular basis of human health to provide you with the skills and knowledge to play a part in this growing field. Biomedical Sciences draws on the expertise of the faculty of the Department of Community Health Sciences in the medical aspects of human health and of the faculty of the Department of Biological Sciences in theory, methods, and applications of molecular biology. This program will prepare students for careers in biomedical research, teaching, or professional programs in health sciences.
