Course Description

Kinesiology is a science that studies the human body, and how it moves and functions. The current interest in this discipline reflects a growing understanding about how exercise affects overall health. The Bachelor of Kinesiology program emphasizes applied bioscience courses with an emphasis on fitness and athletic performance, exercise prescription and programming, the development of research skills, as well as behavioural and socio-cultural aspects of kinesiology, and the application of theoretical knowledge in laboratory. Brock is one of the few universities in Canada to meet the national accreditation standards of the Canadian Council of University Physical Education and Kinesiology Administrators, for both our Kinesiology and Physical Education programs.
