Within this programme the student is provided with the opportunity to gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of computing, information technology and related business functions, as required for employment and career development in small, medium and large organisations within industry, commerce and the public service. You will gain a critical understanding of the strategies and methodologies used in providing computerised solutions to a range of business-related problems. High-level computer languages, modern business software packages, computer hardware and operating systems are covered within the curriculum. Information technology does not exist in isolation in companies and organisations. Consequently, the programme also allows you to develop knowledge and skills related to the main functional areas of business.

The need for graduates with business-related computer knowledge and skills and a background business qualification continues to be strong.
