Bachelor in Exercise Science Minor

Course Description

Part of the Division of Athletic Training, the exercise science minor is intended to provide students with the ability to assess some of the growing concerns within our society. The minor specifically addresses concerns facing active populations such as wellness, fitness, strength training, conditioning, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. Additionally, this minor is designed to prepare students to be credentialed as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) as recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). At Alfred University the exercise science minor is taught with an interdisciplinary approach. Courses within this minor are taught within the disciplines of Athletic Training, Biology, and Physical Education and all within the context of a liberal arts and sciences education.
