The BA stands for Bachelor of Arts, which is an undergraduate degree. The MA is a Master of Arts, which you begin after you graduate from your BA degree program. If you're successful in your application to the BA+MA in English, History or Political Science, you'll receive two conditional offers of admission: one to undergraduate studies (BA) in English, History or Political Science; and one to graduate studies (MA) in the program you chose. This means that if you decide to continue your studies at the graduate level, you don’t need to apply to the MA program at Laurier, because you’ve already received a conditional offer of admission. Students accepted into the BA+MA program receive mentoring and skills development opportunities throughout their undergraduate degree that will help them achieve the admission requirements for the graduate program, and help turn the conditional offer into an acceptance. At Laurier, we believe that learning happens both inside and outside the classroom. This is why students who are enrolled in the BA+MA in English, History or Political Science will engage with other students and faculty throughout the program.
