Master of Finance (MFin)

Course Description

Laurier’s Master of Finance (MFin) degree is designed to help you pursue a career in finance and excel in positions demanding both extensive finance knowledge and excellent quantitative research skills. At the conclusion of this program, you’ll be able to conduct expert analysis in equities, fixed incomes, derivative products, corporate finance and portfolio management. Laurier’s MFin has been accepted into the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute University Recognition Program. This status is granted to institutions whose degree programs incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit for the CFA exams. The MFin degree program is offered both full-time and full-time with co-op at our Waterloo campus. For the working professional, we offer a part-time alternate weekend MFin degree with CFA® preparation and a part-time alternate weekend double-degree MFin (CFA®) and MBA, both at our downtown Toronto location at the Sun Life Financial Tower in the heart of the financial core.
