Our Digital Media and Journalism program develops your reporting and storytelling skills across media platforms, and helps you make sense of the political, economic and cultural world in which media professionals work. You can specialize in Journalism, Public Relations, or Digital and Social Media. In each concentration, you’ll develop technical media production skills in courses delivered by Conestoga College on our Brantford campus. After only four years, you’ll graduate with a post-graduate Contemporary Media Artist certificate from Conestoga in addition to your Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Digital Media and Journalism from Laurier. By the time you graduate, you’ll be able to create and navigate digital and social media platforms, tell intelligent and compelling text-based and visual stories, as well as understand and analyze the wider social, political and economic forces shaping today’s journalism and media environments.
