Embedded systems are everywhere - in your phone, your fridge, your mp3 player to name a few examples. Learn how to build and maintain these systems, which need to be highly specified and work to real-time requirements - particularly in high impact situations such as cars and aeroplanes. You will also take a year in industry, to put the skills and knowledge you have learnt into practice in the workplace. You study the hardware and software aspects of computer systems that are embedded in such things as cars, aeroplanes and mobile phones.
