The MPhil is offered, according to subject area, in Archaeology or in Conservation Studies. The MPhil is a degree of considerable distinction in its own right, which may appeal to candidates who, for one reason or another, regard the more demanding requirements of the PhD as impractical. Candidates must register for a period of not less than six terms of full-time study, or twelve terms of part-time study, under the direction of a designated supervisor and Thesis Advisory Panel.
