Artifical Intelligence (AI) is the study of how human reasoning and behaviour can be imitated, and even surpassed, by computer systems. Common applications include language understanding, computer vision and games. The course is a Masters course with a year in industry. You specialise in AI in your final two years, after a thorough grounding in Computer Science. Your year in industry allows you to put what you have learnt into practice. What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)? AI is the development of intelligent computational systems. They could be intelligent in that they think and act rationally (reaching correct conclusions and choosing the right actions), or because they think and act like humans. The challenge is developing systems that can perceive, learn, reason, communicate using human language and interact with the physical environment.
