The Biological Modelling programme will enable you to use mathematical techniques to understand the dynamics of the natural world, with an emphasis on ecology, conservation and environment. You will benefit from the established interdisciplinary connections and close collaborations between the Biology and Mathematics Departments in both teaching and research. This is a demanding programme for those who not only have a passion for maths, but who are equally passionate about making a positive impact on the environmental issues of our times – from biodiversity, sustainability, natural resource management, the environment and development, through to climate change, contamination risks, air quality, urban pollution and its impact on health and wellbeing.
