This course lies within an integrated programme of BEng (3 year) and MEng (4 year) degrees, both of which can be taken with an additional sandwich year. With a year in industry taken in the third or fourth year of this five year course, this degree programme combines electronics and computing and covers a wide range of engineering skills, in particular hardware and electronic systems. It is enhanced with a year gaining experience in the workplace and a major software engineering team project undertaken in the department.

Careers and employability Employment prospects for our graduates are excellent and they are very well regarded in industry. Industry Many of our students find jobs in related industries and in all sizes of companies from multi-nationals to small businesses. However, they graduate with strong mathematical, computing/programming, team working and technical management skills that are an integral part of our programmes. This means that they also have access to a very wide range of potential career paths outside of the more obvious ones, for example financial service industries which require creative people with strong mathematical and programming skills.
