This is one of six law undergraduate programmes offered at UWE, Bristol. The others are LLB(Hons) Law, LLB(Hons)Commercial Law, LLB(Hons) European and International Law, BA(Hons) Business and Law and BA(Hons) Criminology and Law. If you would like to combine two subjects which have very strong interdisciplinary links then Law with Psychology will be a good choice for you. In your first year you will spend half your time studying law and half studying psychology. During your first year you will be able to opt to major in either the law or psychology. This choice will determine the future shape of your studies and gives you the flexibility to change your choice of major subject. If you major in law this programme will allow you to graduate with a qualifying law degree (QLD). A QLD means that you study the law subjects required to proceed to directly to the professional stage of training. If you would like to become a Solicitor, you would need to take a Legal Practice Course (LPC). Alternatively, if you would like to become a Barrister, you would need to take the Bar Practice Training Course (BPTC). If you major in Psychology you will be able to gain accreditation from the British Psychological Society.
