Our two dynamic, studio-based BA(Hons) Fine Arts courses actively encourage different creative approaches. Fine Arts is based at Spike Island, an internationally renowned contemporary art venue on Bristol's harbourside, where you will benefit from a vibrant creative environment, free studio space and a range of work and volunteering opportunities. Our degree show, held in Spike's expansive studios, is attended by thousands of visitors the general public and art professionals and offers an excellent platform for your work.

Our graduates pursue careers as artists, designers, curators, arts administrators and educators. They are regularly selected for fellowships and national competitions such as the New Contemporaries, a platform for emerging artists. Others progress to graduate study at colleges such as Goldsmiths, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal College of Art. In each year of your course, Professional Practice and Work Experience modules ensure that you to understand and experience different options for employment, career progression and further study. You will hear from visiting professionals and have access to case studies and a range of work experience, competition and application opportunities from across the fine arts arena and wider creative industries.
