The Graduate Certificate in Arts (Specialisation) is designed to enable graduates to undertake postgraduate coursework study in one of a range of Humanities specialisations. The course develops students' analytic, technical and research skills and graduates will have advanced knowledge and skills for professional or highly skilled work and/or further learning. This on-campus, one semester full-time (or, up to 2 consecutive years part-time) course is available at Hobart and/or Launceston (not all specialisations are available on both campuses). Some units will be available by off-campus study, but not in sufficient numbers at this stage to complete the degree in this mode. The following specialisations are available within the GradCertArts(Spec): Aboriginal Studies Asian Studies Chinese Classical and Medieval Studies English (Creative Writing*) English French German History Indonesian Japanese Sociology *English (Creative Writing) may also be offered in Cradle Coast Campus, subject to sufficient numbers of students.
