The Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Environment) is offered by IMAS (Institute for Marine & Antarctic Studies) and is available at Launceston. This course uses a translational science approach integrating the natural sciences with social sciences, management, policy and law. It provides specialisation majors in a choice of AQUACULTURE, MARINE CONSERVATION, and FISHERIES MANAGEMENT. The degree has core units supporting students' choice of one of the three specialisation majors, each of which is aligned to a minor study stream. The core units provide a strong foundation in understanding the natural science of the marine environment.
