Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (N4G)

Course Description

This 5-year (minimum) full-time course is available at Hobart. The first year is also available at Launceston. Note: As of 2015, the Bachelor of Engineering has been replaced with the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours). The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) combined degree provides an opportunity for students to gain a professional engineering qualification and a science major. Course structure Students require 525% to complete the BSc-BE(Hons). In the first year students complete the first year of the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (see N4F course structure). Years two to five comprises: The completion of a further 325% in accordance with the requirements of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours); and Eight science units to achieve a science major sequence as detailed in the Bachelor of Science schedule which are in addition to the Bachelor of Science units already completed in the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours component. If there is a cross-over of units between the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours and the Bachelor of Science major being completed, a student will be permitted to deviate from the science major sequence by taking alternative science units, as approved by the BSc Degree Co-ordinator.
