Course Description

Mechanical Engineering Designed for professionally employed engineers and scientists, the Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering increases each student’s knowledge and competence in modern analysis and synthesis techniques as they apply to engineering design. Solar LaboratoryRecognized nationally as a leader in experiential education, UNH offers an intensive, 30-credit master’s degree program in mechanical engineering. Take advantage of hands-on study both inside and outside of the classroom with studies in thermodynamics, computer-aided engineering, advanced fluid mechanics, system vibrations, and more. Course study is enhanced through a number of interactive, state-of-the-art facilities including our instrumentation laboratory, thermo/fluids laboratory, solar testing and training laboratory, and more. You will also have the opportunity to choose between a project or thesis option to complete your program with a focus on an area of research of your choosing. Because the Graduate School at UNH offers courses on a trimester schedule, you can complete the M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in as little as one year. You will also enjoy small, personalized classes with an average of 15 students per class.
