You cover core areas in psychology with cognitive neuroscience including brain and behaviour, methods in cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, personality and individual differences, language, memory, perception, social psychology, and research methods and statistics. With a strong emphasis on the teaching of research skills, you learn how to design effective studies of your own, and to appraise and critically evaluate those of others. You learn in both small and large groups throughout your course, and you also have access to our specialist research equipment such as EEG, TMS, and eye tracking during your time here. Your career after Essex could take a number of paths, as you’ll take away many transferable skills from studying Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience.
