Our intensely practical and professionally-orientated BA Acting and Community Theatre covers a broad range of acting and performance skills that are developed through projects with people in the local community. We provide a professional route into the world of theatre in which actors can create theatre for, with, and about the communities in which they live.

Over the last few years our recent graduates have performed at the RSC, BBC, Royal National Theatre, Birmingham Rep, The Royal Court and The Old Vic, as well as touring productions, television programmes and feature films. Recent graduates from our BA Acting and Community Theatre include not only community performers, community theatre co-ordinators and drama teachers, but also a producer working for a music education charity, and a graduate running her own business which manages over 20 drama clubs in schools and is still growing.
