With an emphasis on developing core skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, studying Welsh in an international and interdisciplinary context with American Studies at Swansea prepares you for a broad range of career options. The American Studies and Welsh (Second language) programme aims to cover all aspects of American civilization, examining history, literature, politics, society and popular culture whilst at the same time giving students the opportunity to study the Welsh language, literature and culture. Students study six modules a year, 3 in American Studies and 3 in Welsh.
