BSc Computer Science with a Year in Industry

Course Description

This is a four-year programme designed to teach you a wide range of aspects of Computer Science. In year 1 you will learn how to program, study how computers work, be introduced to Software Engineering, and learn the fundamental mathematics and theory of Computer Science. In year 2 you’ll learn about operating systems and networking, computer graphics, databases, compilers, advanced and specialised programming specifications, and some of the more advanced theoretical aspects. You will develop your programming skills (in C and Java), and undertake advanced tasks. You will also receive support throughout the year from our placements team to help you prepare and secure a paid industrial placement.
