Course Description

As a student on the Master's course in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, you will develop specialist skills aligned with the College of Engineering’s research interests and reflecting the needs of the electronics industry. The MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering course covers the ability to apply the knowledge gained in the course creatively and effectively for the benefit of the profession, to plan and execute a programme of work efficiently, and to be able, on your own initiative, to enhance your skills and knowledge as required throughout your career. Industry-standard equipment, such as a scanning tunnelling microscope for atomic scale probing or an hp4124 parameter analyzer for power devices, is used for simulation, implementation and communication. There will be the opportunity to choose and apply suitable prototyping and production methods and components, gain knowledge in constructing and evaluating advanced models of various manufacturing techniques, and be able to differentiate, analyse and discuss various product lifetime management solutions and how they affect different sectors of industry.
