Sheridan’s Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) (BAHSc, AT) program was specifically designed to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills and experience to become an athletic therapist certified by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. The Athletic Therapy program equips you with: Advanced skills in athletic therapy including field assessment and injury treatment, and clinical assessment and rehabilitation for all types of injuries. Entrepreneurial business skills to help you establish a practice. Research skills to ensure you always stay current in the field. 1,200 hours of embedded athletic therapy course experience while in school. The program integrates practical, hands-on field and clinical experience through combined lecture and lab experiences. Sheridan’s facilities include a new, state-of-the-art Athletic Therapy Clinic with aquatic rehab, dedicated lab space with brand new equipment as well as new training facilities. All educators are Certified Athletic Therapists with advanced degrees in the areas of rehabilitation sciences, bio-mechanics and physiology as well as extensive experience working in the field.
