If you hold an HND or equivalent qualification in computing from a college or university from outside of the UK, this course offers you the opportunity to top up your existing experience to a full undergraduate honours degree through one year of full-time study. This course is only open to international students. Technical excellence You build on your existing knowledge and skills and gain the core skills and insight relevant to computer science and computer system development, including topics of programming, requirement engineering, software design and development, web technologies, and machine learning and heuristics. You will develop valuable practical skills and a critical understanding of the subject through application of skills and a problem-based learning approach. Progression to postgraduate study A further aim of this course is to provide you with the opportunity to progress to postgraduate study. Degrees from Sheffield Hallam are recognised throughout the UK and abroad. You could progress to a range of Masters-level courses, or you undertake a postgraduate programme at Sheffield Hallam University, to deepen your understanding of programming or to expand into areas such as security, databases or project management.
