Animal Behaviour and Welfare (BSc top-up)

Course Description

This course is designed to offer you the latest academic insights into current research in animal behaviour, their biology and their welfare alongside practical application of this research. This will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to develop new ideas and evaluate current processes and practices in both animal behaviour and animal welfare science. As well as being enrolled at a partner college, students are also enrolled at Oxford Brookes University and so are entitled to use many of the University’s facilities, such as the library and online resources. Career outcomes

Employment in the animal care industry is multi-faceted. There are many related areas that centre on animals but require skilled personnel for a variety of tasks. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to pursue employment in advanced animal behavioural or welfare based roles, eg animal welfare inspectors, animal behaviour therapists, animal trainers, animal facility managers, animal science researchers or animal assisted interventions therapists.
