The Diploma in Business Accounting Level 7 is intended for people with no prior qualifications or experience in the area of accounting and finance and who wish to acquire knowledge and skills to pursue accounting roles within the industry or for further studies. The programme of study prepares graduates for entry level professional positions in applied accounting and financial management, or for further studies at a bachelor level in accounting and finance. The programme also prepares graduates for the fundamental level modules of theAssociation of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.

On completion of this qualification, graduates will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding, knowledge and skills in accounting and finance especially in the areas of Taxation, Financial Management and Reporting, and Audit and Assurance, with a sound understanding of the required ethics and professionalism. Graduates will demonstrate an understanding of the current accounting practices and trends in the industry. With this qualification, graduates will also gain the necessary knowledge and skills to understand the role of accounting and finance in the overall business context and function competently in professional positions in this area. The qualification can lead to further study in this area at a bachelor level or direct employment into the workforce.
