Course Description

Building on your Veterinary Science qualification our renown academic staff will train you to become a leader in environmental conservation. You will learn about advanced biodiversity conservation and explore issues associated with the interrelationships between human, animal and ecosystem health. You will also have the chance to undertake a field placement, either in Australia or overseas, furthering your knowledge and experience in an area you're passionate about. You'll learn how to treat sick and injured wild fauna, including wildlife cases and be able to choose from a range of topics relevant for veterinarians working with wildlife and zoo animals. The course structure allows you to focus your studies, providing a range of specific electives in a variety of areas such as epidemiology, infectious and emerging diseases and wildlife comparative pathology.
