This course provides advanced professional training in forensic science. Processing complex crime scenes will be emphasised and will involve shooting trajectory reconstruction and bloodstain pattern analysis including determination of region of origin of an attack. Midrange and close-up photography of crime scenes, evidence, and bodies will be conducted. Low-light and alternative light source photography and the photography of impression evidence and bloodstains will be included. A research project will be undertaken involving either analysis of complex cases, or laboratory experimentation.
