Gain a thorough grounding in molecular genetics and DNA profiling You will learn how to apply the techniques of molecular biology to DNA profiling and gain hands-on experience in gas chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass-spectrometry - all modern techniques associated with the detection of legal and illegal drugs and poisons. You will also undergo thorough training in biochemistry, including aspects of drug metabolism, using case studies from past forensic investigations.
