Course Description

Mercer University's Bachelor of Arts in Communication is offered in three format options: fully-online, hybrid and in-class. Students are prepared to understand how organizational structure and groups function and facilitate communicatively, as well as understanding human interaction across a variety of contexts. This program provides a broad-based understanding of the process of communication, which includes: communication and society, communication and the person, and organizational communication. Effective communication is essential to the succeess of every organizational sector and industry. The number one skill employers seek in a candidate is a strong communication skill set (AAC&U, 2014).
