This qualification is an appropriate introduction to postgraduate study and will provide a vehicle for the completion of partial requirements for advanced work. The Postgraduate Certificate in Science is, in effect, the first half of the Postgraduate Diploma in Science. Candidates admitted to the Postgraduate Certificate in Science may have the opportunity to proceed to the Postgraduate Diploma in Science or the Master of Science depending upon achievement in the Postgraduate Certificate.
