If you have it - and you're passionate about filmmaking, animation, games or drawing - we'll give you the skills to help you make your mark in the animation and visual effects industry. Our course is dedicated to storytelling, animation and cinematography. We'll help you develop your creativity and technical ability in all these areas so that you graduate with the expertise animation and visual effects employers are looking for. You'll be taught by tutors who have a wealth of experience in the industry - our course leader Darren Wall has worked on award-winning animated short films for the BBC, while Rory McLeish has worked on Clint Eastwood's Hollywood blockbusters Flags of our Fathers and The Day After Tomorrow. We'll teach you about animation principles and practice, video production and advanced post production. The visual effects element of the course covers techniques from digital compositing to 3D character animation and dynamic simulation.

On successful completion of our course you will be creative, technical and innovative in the management, development and creation of animation and visual effects products. Animation is not only found in the entertainment industry - a number of career opportunities are also available to you. Skills from computer animation and visual effects are needed in architectural visualisation, medical research, advertising, legal and forensics areas.
