Course Description

Prepare for a career in the fast-paced world of finance with a qualification that builds your knowledge in a range of financial specialisations. Your subjects are designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of the major areas of finance including corporate and international finance, investment valuation, portfolio management and risk management. You'll also develop an awareness of the principles of sustainability and entrepreneurship. As you progress into second and third years, you can complete specialised financial electives such as financial and estate planning, derivative securities, mergers and acquisition and security valuation. You'll also have the chance to take a study tour or internship elective, or to complete your electives overseas at one of our partner universities. We have connections with top business schools including the University of Innsbruck and the Berlin School of Economics. Depending on the subjects you choose, you can broaden your career opportunities by completing a major in financial planning, which is RG146 accredited by ASIC, or extend your knowledge of economics or accounting. Our unique industry Professors of Practice work within this course to improve course curriculum, student learning experience, and engage with industry and business.
