The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), is a four year full time (or part time equivalent) course offered at the Bendigo and Melbourne (Bundoora) campuses. Students will complete a common first two years of the course before choosing to remain in the multi-disciplinary engineering stream or undertake the civil engineering stream. Students have the opportunity to undertake a six month integrated learning experience during the final year of study. Employers want engineering graduates with adaptable knowledge that transcend traditional engineering boundaries. With Engineering at La Trobe, you will be equipped to think and act beyond these boundaries, to deliver sustainable and creative solutions to complex technical problems. You'll learn how to make engineering decisions that make commercial sense. This degree has been developed in response to industry needs. Our multidisciplinary approach means you'll learn to work across all engineering disciplines - including electrical, civil and mechanical engineering. After second year, you can choose to remain in your initial stream or change to civil engineering. With the opportunity for six months of real-world engineering experience, you can expand your technical skills, develop first-hand understanding of a business environment and build your industry contacts - all supported by a $10,000 scholarship. During your time in industry, you will be involved in project groups and make a valuable contribution to your work team. Work-Integrated Learning is guaranteed for students on the Bendigo Campus, limited places are available on the Melbourne Campus.
