Bachelor of Science/Master of Teaching (Secondary)

Course Description

Pass on your knowledge of science to secondary school students with our Bachelor of Science/Master of Teaching (Secondary). Our program will equip you to work in a range of educational environments, including schools, TAFE, governing bodies and community organisations. It's also the ideal stepping stone to science outside the classroom, with great options across all disciplines. You'll study foundation science subjects and electives, and choose a specialisation from up to 12 areas. You can choose from a range of teaching disciplines, including at least one of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and general science. You can also choose a non-science teaching area in your program. You'll have access to state-of-the-art facilities and work with experts actively engaged in research. You'll also apply your knowledge with 60 days of professional placement in secondary schools from second year. We provide close links between university and professional practice, so you'll be well supported as you gain teaching expertise.
