Master of Information Technology Management

Course Description

The Master of Information Technology Management is designed specifically for those with a background in IT or computing who aspire to be IT managers, and require an understanding of the strategic management of IT resources within IT departments and organisations. On completion of this program you should: understand the importance of and interrelationships among technology, management and strategy; be able to discuss the management issues surrounding new and emerging technologies; be able to implement strategies for managing IT project change; have developed appropriate project management principles and techniques; be able to familiarise yourself with the latest developments in information technology; show an awareness of ethics and social implications in information technology; value the importance of IT project management within a business environment; and be able to use a range of effective communication strategies.
