Provides a broader experience (academic and industrial) in the more important aspects of manufacturing engineering. As a co-operative program, the student will spend a minimum of one year in a related work experience in industry. Industrial relations, advanced quality principles and project management are emphasized, since the graduate will need to be 'people oriented', being part of, and leading teams in an industrial setting.

The demand for graduates is very high. Although employment is primarily in the manufacturing industries in such management functions as industrial engineering, plant layout, production planning and control, etc., the fundamentals of the program equip a graduate to function in many other areas.
