The program provides the technical knowledge and skills required to manage the construction of industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings from the planning stage through to completion. Studies include construction methods, construction equipment, surveying, project management, scheduling, estimating, building economics, and construction contracts. Twelve months of co-operative work experience is an integral part of the program.

Graduates of the program will find employment with building developers, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and various government departments as superintendents, field engineers, expeditors, quantity surveyors, estimators, inspectors, schedulers, or contract managers. The opportunity to start a contracting or consulting firm or to assume an existing company also exists.
