The program prepares students for a career in the residential construction industry. Courses are designed to provide the technical knowledge required to perform the construction, estimating, and scheduling associated with the building of 1 and 2-storey houses, duplexes and townhouses. A portion of the program is devoted to the acquisition of hands-on skills pertaining to the construction field.

Graduates of the program will find employment with residential building companies, subdivision developers, building material suppliers, or municipal building departments as cost estimators, field supervisors, technical representatives, or building inspectors. Enterprising graduates may consider starting their own business.
