This programme is truly the most international that DIT has to offer: it attracts students from Ireland’s diverse range of backgrounds, as well as students from across the globe, who wish to perfect their command of English and gain a thorough grounding in business studies. Graduates of this programme will go on to bring much-needed linguistic diversity to the 21st Century workplace both in Ireland and abroad. This full-time, four-year Honours Degree programme is for non-native speakers of English or Irish. In order to study the business subjects, students should have a good level of linguistic competence in English on admission.

In view of the increasing globalisation of world markets and the dependency of the global economy on international trade, it is essential that students develop the linguistic skills, critical thinking skills and business skills required. Students who successfully complete the programme will be equipped to play a key role in companies and organisations in seeking out new markets and/or expanding within them. Graduates will be equally well suited to the demands of all business organisations from small and medium sized enterprises.
